Hire A DJ Guidelines



          If you donate for a hire or you are gifted a hire by someone else, here are a few simple guidelines to help
          you organize the hire with the DJ of your choice.

         1) After your donation is made and/or the gifted hire is confirmed with DJ Rider, then you can go ahead and
             ask the DJ of your choosing if they would like to do the hire for you.  $8 is the cost of a 30 minute hire,
             and $16 is  the cost for a one hour hire.
 
        2) The next step is looking at our DJ Calendar and seeing when the DJ is on that will match up as a good time
             to schedule your hire. Every Thursday the Djs send in their schedule for the following week so if the hire
            can't be worked out for the week you are in, then you need to wait until the next schedule is posted before
            choosing on a time together. The only exceptions to that guideline is if the hire is for a birthday or anniversary
            as those are fixed dates.

       3) Send your song choices to the DJ 2 days in advance to allow them proper time to get the hire all set up in a
            timely manner that doesn't put them under too much duress to get it all set up for you. No more than 3 songs
            by the same artist during any hire, and no song longer than 10 minutes in length. Please keep the lyrics within
            our station guidelines and free of excessive profanity.

       4) Let your DJ know if you plan on having your hire in a Pogo room or in our chat rooms. To have a more
           successful hire party, send out invites to all your friends so that they can attend your special event.

       5) If a special 'banner' is wanted in the case of a birthday or anniversary let the DJ know and they will make
           sure we get one made up in time for the hire in our chat room.

       6) If you would like to send in a clip for your hire, you may do so. Remember hires are to have fun! It's our
           pleasure to work with you to help create a very successful hire for you to enjoy with your friends and listeners
           here at ARR4U!
